What to expect with Apple’s iPhone 7

It’s that time of the year again folks. It’s time for Apple’s iPhone 7 Launch.

After months of rumours flying about, in just under four hours we will be given a complete insight into Apple’s latest model of the pioneering iPhone. If like us you can’t wait to see what exactly Apple have in store for us, then fear not, we’ve compiled a list of all the changes you can expect to see in their latest handset.

One most significant changes Apple are expected to make is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack which is being removed for a number of reasons.

Firstly, Apple continues to strive to make the iPhone the best smartphone on the market and an important factor in this is the weight and size of the phone. Without the jack, the iPhone 7 will be the thinnest and lightest iPhone yet. Not only this, but the headphone jack is due to be replaced by the iPhone’s lightning port, which is the port also used for charging. Headphone jacks have been around for the last 30 years and the update to the modern lightning port technology will enhance the audio quality drastically. So no matter how poor your music taste is, at least it will sound better.

For all you photo lovers, it’s expected that the iPhone 7 Plus will receive a massive upgrade. Although the iPhone 7 is expected to retain the current iPhone’s standard single-lens camera, the larger iPhone 7 plus is taking the next step. With two 12-megapixel lenses and an ambient light sensor, your selfies and pictures of your food will be more flexible and look better than ever!

Next up, Apple’s technology. Apple is rumored to be including significant enhancements to the iPhone 7’s tech. As widely expected, the current A9/APX processor is due its scheduled yearly update. This will surely significantly enhance the performance of your handset, and it makes you think when do these improvements reach the end of the line and it simply cannot get better.

In addition, the iPhone 7 is expected to have 2GB of RAM, whilst the iPhone 7 Plus has a mammoth 3GB. Not only this, the iPhone 7’s storage capacity is due an upgrade. Let’s face it, we’ve all faced the dreaded ‘Your storage capacity is full’ alert at some point! However now, capacity is expected to start at 32GB, increasing to 128GB and then having an impressive maximum capacity of 256GB.

These are the most likely rumours flying around the Internet but there are plenty more and who knows just what little surprises Apple have in store for us. Either way, make sure to tune in to the live conference tonight, and fingers crossed Apple’s latest release is just as good as we expect it to be.
